Yoga.

Dawn’s heart is in soft and restorative yoga; specifically based on the Meditation In Movement Soft Yoga (MIMSY) and the Aalamba yoga lineage created by the amazing Lanita Varshell of A Gentle Way Yoga and Joyful Movement Center, whom she has the great honor of studying under directly.

This yoga isn’t like the yin and flow classes you might have tried before where you may not be able to keep up with the pace or manipulate yourself into a pose. This style focuses on using breath, mindfulness, props, and slower, gentler movement to release tension from the spine that then eases into more complex or deeper expressions of poses as the body desires. One thing that makes it unique is that it centers on accessibility. Classes are designed to be modified to the student’s needs from the start with additional levels of depth offered second. Special training and consideration is given to the individuality of each body, whether it is larger sized, in pain, inflexible, has experienced trauma (of any type), or is limited in any way. With so much attention to sensation, breath and body, it is also deeply spiritual and firmly rooted in yogic tradition.

Meditation + Breathwork.

It all begins with our breath and our spirit, everything else we experience flows from there. So taking the time to nurture these essential parts of ourselves is critical to our overall health and wellness. At their core; mediation and breathwork are inseparable. Movement of the breath is a meditative practice; and meditation requires awareness and movement of breath. While the primary focus may vary, the two are truly interrelated.

Mastery of our breathing and awareness focus has a number of health benefits. It grows the ability to be emotionally resilient and supports our mental health by allowing us to find calm in challenging situations.

This type of work also lowers blood pressure, strengthens lung capacity, enhances systemic regulation, and allows the body to find ease when practicing yoga or other somatic work.

Meditation and breathwork with Twilight Dawn is an incredibly soothing, uplifting, and empowering experience. Dawn is an expert in guiding you into greater connection with your energetic body through beautiful and powerful meditative imagery and gentle, doable breath movement.

These practices are central to many of Dawn’s offerings, you’ll find her signature melodic style woven into her Healing, Realignment, Coaching, Yoga, Sound Baths, Shamanic Journeys, and Ritual.
